"Convenience to Convention Center and price outweighed any challenges encountered"

My family reserved 2 rooms from September 5 – 7. Our visit was to attend a graduation at the Arlington Convention Center (ACC). We were pleased to find out the convenience of this property to the ACC along with Globe Life and ATT&T stadiums. We got a better understanding as to why ‘Entertainment District’ is a part of the name for the property. We did not get the ‘glad to see you’ feeling from several of the front desk workers. We are southerners and this can set the tone for any visit to a property. There were two front desk staffers that that did make us feel warm whenever we saw them (regretfully we don’t remember their names. A young lady worked Friday and Saturday evening and a young man worked Saturday morning). I say this as a long time Hilton Honors member who has recently retired from my job and does not have the status I once did. It felt different at this property that the others I have visited around the country. The rooms were clean. There had been a recent renovation thus a fresh smell throughout. The deadbolt lock on my room did not work and I reported it. Our rooms were not cleaned on Saturday. When I checked at the front desk, I was informed that they don’t do this for short stays. I am OK with this however was not informed during the check-in process. They need to ensure guests are made aware of this. We were then told that if the room needed servicing, we could request it. We simply requested additional towels. I would consider this property again if I needed to come back to this area. There is also a Hilton Garden Inn nearby however the free breakfast offering is what brought us to this property. Given the short visit, the price was definitely within our budget. There are also several eateries in walking distance. It would be nice if there was shuttle/trolley service to the ACC.

"Miaje at Front Desk is Awesome!!"

Online check-in didnt work. The room I thought I had reserved was no longer available. Miaje detected my disappointment, worked her magic, and found us an even better room. We had an awesome night, going to Six Flags, and coming back to watch fireworks from our room. The hotel's location is great for everything in the Entertainment District. It was clean. Breakfast was great. But, the most memorable thing was Miaje's customer service.

This Franchise of Hiltom must be the worst on the planet. This place is the epitome of failure. From the check-in experience of no "welcome message" low-energy flat effect, failing to offer gold members a bottle of water. My experience with whom I think was the manager was the worst.. As I was leaving the hotel on day no. 2, I stopped at the front desk and asked about frequency of housekeeping. She told me every other day. I asked if they could get my used towels and bring some new towels and empty my trash. She told me I could get the towels myself. She also asked me when I checked in??? I thought what does that have to do with anything?? I need service..When I told her yesterday she again told me they provide services every other day. I said are they going to get my trash?? She said yes reluctantly..., she said she was putting in the request but it was obvious she didn't like the fact I was in need of service. Someone named Kandi was texting me about my experience and I told her my negative experience and Kandi responded "okay I am sorry blah blah". I naturally assumed Kandi was a manager because she had texted me twice. I responded with the above message to Kandi around 11:45 today. I returned to my room tonight around 8pm after being gone since 8am this morning. Guess what?? No towels and trash not removed....So I proceeded to tell Kandi about this experience and I was going to notify the Corporate Office and Kandi responded "okay let us know if we can do anything else". I said anything else?? Are you serious!??You failed to meet my basic request..This hotel knows nothing about customer service. If the long haired female I encountered was the manager, I expect nothing more of the staff. Speed of the team is greatly influenced by the speed of the leader. This Franchise is an embarrassment to the Hilton Brand. They will never be World Class.
