"A Great Beach Getaway."

We held our 2024 US Marine Corps Bulk Fuel Reunion at this Guy Harvey Resort. The great location on the beach & proximity to local restaurants was a major deciding factor. Our rooms were spotless & the wonderful housekeepers took care of us. All of us ate breakfast daily in Santiago's Florida Kitchen(hotel restaurant) and some ate dinner there also. The food was great. Salute to their chef for the amazing Omelets & other breakfast entrees he put out. The Tiki Bar, by their large pool was another place some of us gathered at. Of course, walking out of your room straight to the beautiful beach for a swim was aa treat. We also had use of one of their large banquet rooms where we hung out together after daily sightseeing tours. The staff kept us supplied with Coffee, Tea, Water & plenty of ice. The St Augustine Trolley picks up at the hotel daily. It's a hop on-hop off ride & a great way to tour the city without having to find parking for your car. I would like to recognize some of the helpful staff members that served us always with a smile: Karen(the lovely lady that checked me in), Rachael, Jamie, Allison, Christa, Vickie, AnnMarie, Daniel. "Perfect weekend!"

I can't say enough wonderful things about this resort! It was in a perfect location, the staff was very professional and helpful, the beds were extremely comfortable. We had breakfast both days in the restaurant and it was delish. Loved the Pool View rooms with the chairs outside, just off the pool deck. The beach was stellar. We were even lucky enough to have clear skies both days we were there, but the heat was a bit rough. The pool took care of that for us! It was my first time to St. Augustine and I look forward to returning and staying here again!! Thank you!

"Hire new housekeepers."

The front desk was very accommodating, the bar personnel were great, the food was very good. The housekeepers were abysmal and deceitful so they wouldn’t have to clean your room. In 5 days, the room was cleaned once. Received typed notice on your bed… couldn’t get in, possessions on your bed so we couldn’t make it. All untrue. Bit OCD about cleaning myself. Nothing on bed, all trash IN trash. Coffee pods not replaced, cups etc. Did get towels. Maybe hire new housekeeping.

"Guy Harvey Resort - Love his Artwork, but not the Hotel."

I wasn't that impressed with the price. Everything seemed old and tired. Rooms with a view were minimal and the toilet in the bathroom felt like a childs. The food at the restaurant was overpriced and terrible. The chicken was undercooked. Drinks at the pool area were over-priced. Stay at a Hamptons and save your money.

"Needs A "Face Lift""

The 4th of July has always been to dear to my family's heart. We found this "resort" less than attractive. Although the lobby and bar area have been remodeled the rest of the entire site needs a "face lift." The carpet and rooms are very dated like you walked into the same carpet that was there in 1988. My parent's pool is larger than the one provider at this "resort". One saving grace was the interior bar...the food and beverage were amazing--I can not say the same for the Tiki Hut Area outside. The stay has made me never want to stay at this area of St Augustine ever again. Choose wisely my fellow travelers...I will for my next 4th of July vacation.
