Belated review. Nice room, pool and beach. Bit windy at the beach, so that was a disappointment. All staff were very personable, from the front desk, to dining staff, to the pool/beach folks. Easy to get to the various historic sites up the road.

"Great beach get away"

The hotel was a great getaway. The rooms were a bit dated but so are the vast majority of the hotels beachside. Was lucky enough to get an oceanfront room which had a great view. Room size was good. Bathrooms are very small but adequate. King bed was comfortable and pillows were great. It has a restaurant which was good for breakfast and poolside. The pool was nice with plenty of space and seating. It had a tiki bar and could order food so a plus there. Overall would recommend this hotel for a laid back experience.

The lobby and the seating area were very nicely done. That is where it stopped. I believe it used to be a Quality Inn, and all they did was put up Guy Harvey artwork, leaving everything else the same. There is nothing wrong with Quality Inn, but that is not what I paid for. The room was gross. Old and dirty, the bed was comfortable, but I do not understand the new craze for micro pillows. We were on the first floor, so we couldn't open the curtains because everyone walking by could see right into our room. The air conditioner blew straight up, so it blew the curtains open. There seemed to be missing furniture. The bathroom was gross. The toilet was so low to the ground that you had to use the bathtub to support yourself on the way down and getting back up. The tile in the shower was brown, the fixtures, including what I think was a new vanity, were black, grey and silver, and the mirror was gold straight out of 1995. Our room was right next to maintenance and housekeeping. Why on earth would you ever even book that room? They portray themselves as a resort, but all they have is a pool. That is a hotel, and they should be classified as a motel. Guy Harvey should be ashamed to have his name on that facility. The parking is terrible, once you drive on either side of the hotel and there is no parking, you have to back up, and there is no turnaround. There is not enough parking in all of the lots for all the guests. All in all, I would NEVER stay here again. Total waste of money.

Not a new hotel but perfect for a beach vacation. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The pool was large, clean and warm. Just a few steps to the beach. The tiki bar at the pool was wonderful. I would definitely go back, it had everything I needed!

Even though the hotel isn’t new, it is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated.. it’s far enough from the center of St. Augustine, but yet close enough.. we have a beautiful pool, and an easy access to the beach.. I couldn’t have asked for better service, from the front desk, to maintenance, to housekeeping.. all were extremely friendly, and all going out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Hoping to return next year!
