"Dont get fooled - Hotel needs major work/not clean"

The hotel rooms are extremely outdated and the rooms were dirty and not well kept. The shower had yellowish stains on the floor and was pretty disgusting. We saw RATS around the pool and outside our room door on several different occasions. This is not a well kept property. Grand club is waste of an upgrade, Dont bother with it, it is horrible, just good for coffee. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the hotel. It really sucks because I was hopeful that it was going to be amazing after seeing pictures of the pool and grounds, but they really dropped the ball. I love Hyatt properties, but i truly had one of the worst experiences here. Sorry Grand Hyatt

"Wedding At The Grand Hyatt Kauai"

I got married on the beach adjacent to the resort. It was a beautiful experience and we had dinner at the Tide Pool restaurant after the wedding. The resort is beautiful and we loved our room and the food at the restaurant.

"Majestic property, lovely rooms for relaxation and recharging"

Spectacular views and amenities. The room was well appointed and comfortable with lovely balcony to enjoy. Staff was very helpful and engaged. We felt pampered to be sure. The pools are spread out and the adult pool felt more secluded, which was nice when not traveling with children and during the holidays. There is a lovely walkway along the beach and beyond the property too.

"Great stay"

We loved our recent visit to the hotel. We were located on the first floor and enjoyed hearing the sounds of the ocean just steps away. We had access to the lounge and thy had a wonderful variety of food throughout the day. Highly recommend that while traveling with kids. CON: - Bidet was not working upon arrival, but it was fixed within a day. - The light in the bathroom was flickering the day before departure so we had to use a flashlight. I believe it was fixed upon our departure.

"Incredible resort with lots to do"

This resort is incredible. They make you feel welcome the second you pull up to the door. Check-in was easy, we were handed our room key wristbands and given a quick overview of the property. The property itself is huge, do yourself a favor and take an hour or two during the day to just explore inside and out to appreciate how well curated everything is. The whole island keeps lights to a minimum at night to help birds which makes for incredible star gazing. The pools and hot tubs are open 24 hours a day which was my favorite part of the resort. The pool area is huge and even during the peak afternoon times it never feels crowded. There are 3 hot tubs which can be a little hard to find at night, but that's a good thing because it gives them all a feeling of privacy. Despite being in my 40s I didn't get any awkward glances when I went down the big slide in the pool. The restaurants we tried were all excellent, but if I'm being honest I was disappointed by the lack of fruit options at the breakfast buffet. Something about not having fresh fruit in Hawaii doesn't feel right. Every single member of the hotel staff I interacted with was fantastic, friendly, and wanted to go above and beyond for whatever I needed. Overall this was a fantastic stay and I hope I'm lucky enough to get back here some day.
