This hotel deserves to be called out for both its unsafe room conditions and how it handled billing issues. I booked through Working Advantage, and my specific room type did not show resort or parking fees when I made the reservation. When I arrived, the hotel still charged me those fees. Working Advantage later acknowledged that some room types listed those charges while mine did not, and even after they tried to get a refund on my behalf, the hotel refused. The room itself was in terrible condition. The shower leaked, the phones did not work, the internet would not connect, and the damaged flooring between the bathroom and main room had nails sticking up through the carpet that I stepped on multiple times. That is dangerous and should never be acceptable in a guest room. Towels were not replaced, and I had to track down a janitor myself just to get clean ones. I reported the problems and was told they would be handled in the morning, only to later be told by a supervisor that the employee who said that had quit and never documented anything, so no action was taken. This hotel failed on basic cleanliness, maintenance, safety, customer service, and billing transparency. Even when the booking company tried to resolve the issue, the hotel still refused to refund the undisclosed fees. Terrible experience and absolutely not recommended.

Rooms are dirty. The whole hotel is infested with mold. Check in was extremely slow then we decided NOPE when we saw the state of the room and smelled the mold. Then, after returning to the front desk and trying to get a refund, Chris said that we could not. After some pushback he said he would only refund us for every night except tonight. This is unbelievable and unacceptable because we were only in the room for 1 minute. So disappointed in the quality and service of this hotel. DO NOT STAY.

Upon arrival, the attendant was outside the property handling another situation. When the front desk clerk arrived, he appeared unaware of the role and responsibilities required of the position. It was later explained that it was his first day and he was not receiving any proper training. During my stay, I was charged for both parking and breakfast, services that I did not use. While the room itself was decent, there were no bath towels available when I arrived, making it difficult to freshen up before bedtime. The following day, I was also charged a fee for a package that had been held for less than 30 minutes, which felt unnecessary. It appears that management may need to reassess internal training procedures. In particular, Chris Richardson, the manager, could benefit from additional hospitality and tourism management training. Staff cannot adequately perform their roles if they are not properly guided or trained. The hospitality industry is built on customer service and guest experience, and unfortunately this stay did not reflect those standards.

The Trolley does stop in front of The Grand Hotel Orlando at Universal Blvd on our street, Universal Boulevard, which is on the Green Line North Bound. Our stop is G7(Yellow). Directly across the street is the stop for the Green Line South Bound G7(Green). The Trolley runs from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM daily. Trolley Tickets can be purchased on the Trolley for single rides. Prices and fees may change anytime. Please contact the hotel front desk or inquire at the hotel directly for more information on the I-RIDE Trolley. Schedule and times of operation may change at anytime.

What is the minimum age to check in?

The reservation holder must be at least 18 years old with a matching, valid, govenment-issued photo ID and credit card to check in. Guests are required to establish a credit to cover incidental charges. An authorization of $100 will be obtained from the guest's credit card on file. This is a temporary charge and at check-out, if there are no additional charges, this amount will be credited back to the guest’s account.

Is parking available? Is it free?

Self-parking is available to all guests of the hotel (not included in the Amenity/Resort Fee). A $15 daily parking fee per vehicle is collected upon arrival. Fees collected at the hotel are subject to change and applicable taxes.
