This Kapolei luau is approximately 27 miles (45-minute drive) from Waikiki.
You can drive out to the Luau site, or select tickets that include roundtrip transportation from Waikiki.

Germaine’s Luau has been acclaimed as America’s Best Luau in “America’s Best 100” and has been filmed by ABC’s “Good Morning America”. From its founding in the 1970's, over 3 million visitors have become a part of the Germain's Ohana.

Upon arrival, guests are traditionally welcomed with a Hawaiian Shell Lei. The sounding of the conch shell announces the beginning of the evening’s festivities! Picture taking opportunities await as the Royal Court of Polynesia makes its entrance. As the imu (underground oven) is uncovered, the savory aroma of the Kalua Pua’a (roasted pig) – the main course of the evening – reminds everyone that dinner is soon to be served.

The all-you-can-eat buffet features an array of tasty Hawaiian – American selections, which include traditional Island favorites sure to please even the less adventurous.

The night is filled with beauty, color, and excitement as the multi-talented kane (men) and wahine (women) take you through a non-stop, action-packed journey throughout the Islands of Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand as well as the romantic hula of Hawaii.

The evening also includes unlimited soft drinks, coffee and tea as well as beverage coupons for all adults 21 years and older.

"Great experience"

The luau is a great experience. I grew up in Hawaii and have been to Germaine’s Luau a number of times and always enjoyed it. I took my wife to Hawaii when I went back for my high school reunion and took her to the luau and she loved it. The food is very good and authentic Hawaiian food. The entertainment is great and very professionally done. Staff is very friendly. Lots of Aloha shown here.

Tip: Dress casual and comfortable. Go hungry.

Each tourist should attend a luau once. The food is nothing special though. The fire dancer was the best part of the entertainment.

Tip: Purchase the travel to the luau. You have to go through an industrial park to get to the luau, so you may not think you are heading in the right direction.

What does reserved seating mean?

It means you are guaranteed a seat, but seating is open seating with exceptions for special needs group.

Where is the Luau held?

Germaine's Luau is located in Kapolei on the beach, next to the Barber’s Point Lighthouse. It is approximately 27 miles from Waikiki.

What time does the Luau begin?

The Luau begins at 6:00 pm. If you are driving out, the gates will open at 5:15 pm.

Are children 5 and under free?

Yes, children 5 years & under are admitted free. They will need to sit on your lap on the bus if there are no extra seats. At the luau, they are able to sit in your lap. Please bring your own baby carrier or stroller as the venue does not have any high chairs at the luau.

Do we have to sit on the ground?

The venue offers two kinds of seating at the luau. There are a few tables that are about 18” off the ground where you sit on beach mats that are provided. The majority of tables are picnic benches. If you require a chair with a back, please contact the venue directly and they can arrange to have one for you.

Is transportation included?

Germaine's Luau offers round-trip transportation from Waikiki with the transportation admission.

Is the Luau wheelchair accessible?

Yes, although the luau is completely on the beach, they have some areas where the sand is more compact and with the assistance of your family, you are able to access this area. The use of motorized scooters is discouraged since several have been damaged in the past due to sand getting into the motor. Germaine’s Luau will not be held responsible for any damage. Please contact the number on your eticket as soon as possible if you are bringing a wheelchair on the bus for they may need to reserve a specialized vehicle with their transportation company and these special buses are not always available.

Are there foods for vegetarians?

Germaine's Luau can order a special “stir fry” dish for you with advanced notice. Then you can go down to the buffet line to select any other dish that you may desire.

Does the Luau operate in inclement weather?

Generally, Germaine's Luau does not operate in harsh weather conditions because they are outside. They suggest calling the day of your show if you are concerned about the weather via number located on your eticket.
