"Highly recommend!"

It doesn’t get better. We left the Grand Wailea after a night and traded a jam packed resort with chairs that literally touch eachother to a stunning oasis. The service was incredible- want food in your (included) cabana? Give them 10-15 minutes. Need your sofa bed made up? It will be done while you’re at dinner. Speaking of dinner, duo was excellent and the truffle macaroni and cheese was amazing. We were disappointed we wasted a night at the other resort but we definitely made the right decision in moving! The service is incredible- from the valet to the poolside service to the restaurants and the housekeeping. Absolutely no complaints!

We travelled to Maui Four Seasons after the Four Seasons Hualalai. We are from east coast and I’d be sorely disappointed if this was my only taste of Hawaii. This property feels like one of the major resorts in Nassau, and despite being the 5-star option, it does not measure up and I would not recommend. Our welcome experience was lackluster— room was not ready until 3 pm (understandable with a 4 pm check-in), but traveling with a baby made this very challenging, and no accommodations were offered. Unlike Hualalai, there was no tour or refreshment on arrival—just an attempted upsell to a suite. We were directed to a restaurant for lunch that had a 30 minute wait.. The pool and beach areas were overcrowded, with no seating unless claimed at 7 am, which feels more like a cruise ship than a luxury resort. With only two family pools and the adults-only pool isolated, options for families are limited. Furthermore, the majority of the seating does not face the ocean, making it impossible to watch your kids comfortably in a chair and see the scenery— rather you’re sitting facing a loud crowded pool and a giant concrete building. You forget you’re in Maui except when you catch glimpses between people’s private cabanas. Rooms and facilities feel dated: one smelled of mildew, the AC didn’t work well, wallpaper was peeling, and bathrooms looked tired. Furniture damaged and dated. Lighting was not ambient— fluorescent in closets and bathroom.. I have had nicer bathrooms at Courtyard Marriotts. Housekeeping staff do their best, and poolside and restaurant service is warm and professional, but front desk and administrative responsiveness to our grievances has been radio silent. Food is mediocre for the price, and the kids club is underwhelming. Overall, the property feels more like a JW Marriott than a Four Seasons—especially when compared to Hualalai. We’ve decided to move our stay to Lāna‘i. Unfortunately I’m not sure there is another hotel on Maui much better..

"A gorgeous hotel"

This was a gorgeous hotel. We never had issues getting a cabana (the free ones - dont feel like you have to rent one in advance) but we were there during a less crowded time. On the last day (start of July 4th weekend) there were no seats to be found at the pool and a much longer wait for breakfast. We had an issue with our room- we were in a room that had a connecting door. Stay away from rooms like that - unless its your family! There was a toddler in the next room who got up at 5am and we could hear him/her like they were in the room with us! Luckily, they moved us- it would have completely ruined our vacation otherwise. Many thanks to Sele- the resort Asst manager who helped us with this! Many of the hotels in Maui had reviews about being overrun with kids. This hotel was no different. At least there was an adult pool- but you do have to get there early. We got put on a wait list when we came down at 9am. I was told people get their chairs at 7am and go eat breakfast. Overall I would definitely recommend but would only go there during a less crowded time.

We had a great stay in this amazing resort. The service is amazing, and the rooms are even better, verry spacious, amazing beds and well equiped with a great television, and a balcony for every room. The simming pools are amazing - the infinity pool is the best. The hotel has an amazing selection of restuarants, the Italian was our favourite. We are comming back for sure.

"Disappointing dining experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed July 19, 2025
We had an incredible stay at the Four Seasons Maui — the resort is stunning, the service throughout was warm and professional, and the amenities were top-notch. The only disappointment during our stay was our experience at Ferraro’s. Despite having a reservation, we were made to wait for nearly an hour. Each time we followed up, we were told to wait a bit longer, with no clear communication or apology. We’d absolutely return to the resort, though we may reconsider our dining choices next time.
