My favorite part of my stay was the breakfast buffet. Steve A. was truly a ray of sunshine every morning as we entered the buffet line! His enthusiasm and courtesy are infectious, and helped me head over to work at the convention center with a happier attitude. The food was also wonderful! Also, we really appreciated the hotel opening breakfast early on Saturday and Sunday for all of the AP Readers who started work at 8:00 a.m. every day.

I reserved this hotel using Hilton Honors points for my birthday trip, expecting a relaxing stay. What I walked into instead was a health hazard. The first room smelled of mold and cigarette smoke. We requested a different room—same story. Stained furniture, filthy surfaces, and air so musty we had to walk right back out. We didn’t even unpack. We left immediately and found another hotel, completely ruining what was supposed to be a celebratory evening. Thankfully Hilton refunded our points, but this property should not be accepting guests in its current state. Frankly, I’m stunned it’s still operating. The place needs a visit from the health department, not another online reservation. Avoid.

My stay was phenomenal until the last day. Patrick was a great front desk staff and he assisted me and my family to the upmost and I thank him for that. Then, as I’m checking out he tells me that he got fired because of poor job performance. That’s unacceptable! Whoever the GM should be ashamed of themselves because this young man has been superb than most at the front desk. I will not return to this hotel and I’ll pass along to others that management does not treat their staff with respect.
