Great location downtown and practically on the river. Fairly standard Embassy Suites with 2 room suites, evening wine and breakfast and in decent shape. Seemed to be clean tho some stains on our upholstered furniture, tight bathroom but nice walk in shower. The breakfast and atrium areas were quite nice. Location is a plus for sure for this hotel. Easily walkable to restaurants, downtown, south congress area and a GREAT walking trail. The Butler Hike and Bike trail is awesome. A 10 mile loop trail on both sides of the river thru the middle of town. Sometimes you wouldn't even know you were in town with all the trees and river. Parts of the trail are actually over water along the river. It's a wide and well kept trail with plenty of room and nice surfaces, lots of joggers, walkers, bikers, dog walkers. It was the highlight for me of our trip. The hotel is at the base of the South Congress (bat) bridge and entrance to the trail. The hotel staff were quite nice and helpful. Shocking to me, there are waymo/uber driverless cars in Austin, very popular and many of them. It's a young and modern city and nice skyline. I'd return to this city and this hotel, and particularly the great trail.

Do not stay at this hotel! The rooms are run down. The shower head leaked really bad and sprayed on the ceiling, the towel rack was barely hanging on. The door knob in the room was falling off. The couch had a big rip in the material. The hotel has 3 elevators but only one was working. Another guest stated there has only been elevator for months. This is a one star hotel that charges $50 a day for parking that isn’t even connected to the hotel. Stay at your own risk and don’t stay in room 824!

I recently stayed at this Embassy Suites on Congress. The location is excellent, and the staff I interacted with were kind and helpful. The hotel also had a clean feel. However, the overall experience fell short — particularly given that Embassy Suites is part of the Hilton family of brands, which usually reflects a higher standard. The hotel property showed clear signs of neglect. I wasn’t even paying attention to these things at first, but they started to stand out — and quickly began to add up. Two of the three elevators were out of service, and the only sign about this was posted on the first floor — not on the guest floors. With the hotel nearly full, this caused long delays. Throughout the property, I noticed more signs of poor upkeep — a phone hanging off the wall that my friend tried to fix (unsuccessfully), broken tiles in the only working elevator, and non-functioning lights on the elevator buttons. My room also had several maintenance issues: a towel rack pulling out of the wall, something unkempt or stained near the shower base (unclear what was going on there), cracked and peeling surfaces, wallpaper beginning to come off the wall, and a very low shower head (about 5'8"), which made it awkward for my taller friend to use. The property overall feels worn down. Other guests were voicing similar concerns while waiting for the elevator, and the atmosphere felt more neglected than I’ve come to expect from an Embassy Suites. I hope to see improvements at this location to better reflect the quality typically associated with Hilton properties.

Amazing graduation weekend at the Embassy Suites! Our family came in from all over the US to celebrate our son's graduation. We had booked many rooms. Upon arrival, Corey checked us in and was so accommodating. We were early and are rooms were not ready. In addition a family member was sick and could not make it so we had a extra room. Corey has exceptional customer service skills and provided us with a solution which allowed us to trade two rooms in for the Presidential suite! We were thrilled and this solved all of our issues of family coming in at all different days. What is extraordinary about Corey is he listened, asked the right questions and patiently gave us options that delighted us. Corey also shared information we needed about hotel amenities and suggestions for activities. We received water without asking (hilton honor perk). Corey is absolutely general manager material. This property should invest in him and keep him! It is so refreshing to have an amazing customer experience, especially post covid. We also requested to stay an extra night and was also helped by two very thoughtful staff (women) who helped me greatly. We are very loyal to Embassy Suites and stay in them all over the US. Hands down Corey provided the best experience I have ever had, thank you!

Long night with no sleep due to the adjacent room literally up all night loud and noisy. Of course the front desk said they addressed it even after calling them twice but it went on until 5:30am. Also wasn’t informed parking wasn’t free.. really?
