This is my second time staying at this Doubletree. It's good enough, but not overwhelmingly great. The rooms are comfortable, and clean, but a little dated. It was less damp/mildewy on my most recent stay than it was the first time. They do a lot of conferences, so check-in can be slow. I wasn't offered a cookie or water when I checked in, so I had to come back later and wait in line again to get it. The first time I stayed, I didn't have any trouble with parking. This time it was a zoo. There were 0 spaces available in the lot. If you pay in advance for parking, you should be guaranteed a spot.

When we arrived, there was a mixup with our check-in. (After already waiting over an hour to check in) John let us know that our second reservation would be fine until the next day, how ever, it was cancelled. Troy, who was working the front desk, was rude and apathetic in regards to our concerns. The manager on duty was a little more empathetic, however, our issue ultimately remained unsolved, and we had to squeeze in one room or book another room at double the price. Parking was terrible. They offer parking and there is none available. There was some sort of fungus above the ice room on our floor that was quite concerning. Regardless of any apology to this review, we will never stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here at this Doubletree. Such a bad look to be so close to DC.
