"Satisfactory for a 3-star hotel"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed March 23, 2025 NEW
Disclaimer: I’m going to rate my experience keeping in mind that this is a 3-star rated hotel. As such, I am keeping my expectations at that standard and will highlight the pros and cons as fairly as possible. I have previously stayed at the Sole Miami hotel in December 2024, right next door, which is rated as 4-star. Pros: - I booked a Partial Ocean view room which was perfect. There is a very generous view of the ocean and I even caught the sunset. The balcony is quite large and comes with 2 sturdy lounge chairs and a small table. To compare, the Sole hotel had zero seating on the balcony (and it was quite small). This balcony also was accessible from the bedroom AND living room (although the sliding door was stuck and hard to open and close). - The room is spacious and bigger than expected. Fully functional kitchen with all the appliances you need to cook. An actual dining area for eating (at the Sole, only ate at a bar area off the kitchen). The bathroom had double vanity, a bidet, huge jet bathtub and separate shower. Oh and for the girls, loads of storage for all your products. The bedroom has a massive walk-in closet (so nice!) and the bed was extremely comfortable. - The room is QUIET. There isn’t any loud AC unit or anything that was disturbing your sleep. - There is a washer and dryer machine which is a treat. Most 3-star hotels don’t offer in-unit laundry. - The gym is well equipped. Very good cable machine, tons of dumbbells selections, 2 benches and a few treadmills. I used it a few times and there was enough room/equipment for everyone comfortably. - I arrived early, around a couple hours prior to check-in and my room was already ready for me, so it was really convenient to check-in and enjoy the beach on my travel day. - The location is unbeatable. So close to everything one needs including shopping, groceries, drugstore etc. The beach is maintained nicely, the staff at the beach were very friendly. I always had 2 chairs available regardless of what time I went to the beach, there was never a shortage of towels or chairs (note: You do have to pay extra for umbrellas). - The staff is very accommodating - when I needed anything, I called at the front desk and was immediately helped and taken care of. - The most important: the elevators ARE QUICK! My room was on the 24th floor (same at Sole) and the most I waited when calling the elevators was maybe 1 minute. Honestly, it usually took less than 30 seconds. Whereas at Sole, it took sometimes as much as 5 minutes (not exaggerating). - This hotel offers a very convenient app you can download on your phone which allows you to have a digital key (this saved me when I forgot my physical card) and allows for selecting your room before checking in! That is VERY cool, because you can choose from different floors and facing directions. Cons: - The hotel is definitely outdated. The room and amenities was clean but I won’t lie, there is certainly a need to repair and renovate the property. Some areas, for example, near the bar and pool area, part of the ceiling was falling apart. Inside the room, there was rust, the kitchen cabinets weren’t in the best shape, there was peeling, the bathroom tiles were a little cracked. Again, NOTHING major, however, this is a honest review. So just be prepared to see some major wear and tear. - The staff is nice but I’ve encountered a couple of housekeeping employees who didn’t speak a single word of English. I would expect them to know basic english so that was a little challenging communication-wise. As you can see, the pros vastly outweigh the cons hands-down. I can’t give it a 5 star as I was underwhelmed with the condition of the hotel. BUT (and this is a big but), all in all, the hotel was beyond satisfactory. For someone who needs a clean, functional room with a stunning view, this fits the bill and is reasonably priced as well. I will certainly be coming back in the future!

"Beautiful views at an outdated hotel"

We stayed here at this resort because it checked all our boxes. I noticed there had been an influx of negative reviews recently, so this alarmed me a little, but we decided to stay anyway. Check in was alright, we were not offered the double tree cookies we know and love, most of the staff we encountered at the front desk were not the nicest, but weren't rude. I also found that the daily resort charge doesn't get you much, I think the bottles of water are generally free anyway at most other Hilton properties, so it seemed a like absurd to marked that under the daily resort charge amenities. Hotel was very dated in the outdoor pool area, and both hot tubs were not hot. The entire hotel was struggling with ac issues as well. Anyway, enough with the negative, we had an ocean front suite, that had fantastic views, the beach front was great and beautiful. The restaurant had good food and great views. I honestly don't think we will be back, as for the cost, I would rather stay at one of the neighboring high class resort as this hotel is not cheap at all. But was not as bad as some of the reviews e it out to be

Overall a great hotel. The room was clean and all areas were very spacious. I wish they provided more towels in the room. And the only other issue was the shower on has very hot water. There is someone at the desk 24/7 with warm cookies ready to eat! The bar/pool area is nice and well ran. We ordered lunch was really good. We appreciated that our reservation came with 2 reserved beach chairs. They also have nice guys that provided other beach needs.

"Expensive and slow, slow service"

We waited 30 mins in the queue to get in for breakfast. Not enough staff and those who work there are slow and don’t seem to care about guests. Another 15 min wait for a cooked breakfast. Food was good cold eggs and overall stressful experience. Not what you pay for!! I would not recommend this hotel.
