"Nice location, shady sales practice"

Location was great, a short walk to most of downtown Victoria's top attractions. Decor and amenities in the room are not up to par with other Delta / Marriott hotels, and overdue for a refresh. Front desk is pushy trying to sell room upgrades. I took the bait and got the upgrade, but the upgraded room is right next to elevator. There was some prom activity going on and I could hear loud voices until 1 am. Not what I expected after PAYING MORE!!

Almost impossible for a Hotel of virtually any stature to deliver a perfect experience. We experienced 2 specific challenges but Management resolved it to our satisfaction w/no negotiation or dispute. Impressive. Very impressive... Room 622 has a harbour view, is comfortable + well-designed. The hotel is beautifully located about a 30 min walk from the Ferry Terminal + 10/15 mins from the downtown restaurants. The Staff is amazing. "Trish" + "Ellen", both exceptional Servers at Restaurant LURE, went out of their way to bless us + our friends. Both food and drink at LURE are elite. No real reason to go out, honestly, though we had 2 high quality meals elsewhere... "Michael" very talented + helpful. Recommended. Highly...

"Perfect weekend in Victoria"

We loved everything about the hotel. Charlene checked us in and was very friendly and welcoming. She found us a great room and filled us in on all the amenities. Charlene gave us directions for the bus to Butchart Gardens which worked out great! McKinley helped me with a free bike reservation- beautiful bike friendly city. Charlene took care of everything else we needed including currency exchange- all whilst remembering our names. The restaurant and club were also excellent!! Thank you!!

"Great Hotel supplemented by great staff - best combination ever"

We checked in at 1am and was warmly greeted by a heavy moustached gentleman who was very emphatically polite. We stayed at level 8 and the rooms were majestic with high ceilings. We could easily walk to Victoria centre, enjoy views of the harbour and had good breakfast at the Lure restaurant. Staff service at every part of the hotel was impeccable and we were so impressed and thankful. From front office, cleaning staff, potter etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at this waterfront hotel. Hotel has many rooms with bay windows overlooking Victoria’s inner harbor and right across one can see BC Parliament. Hotel itself is very well maintained, very clean. Exterior of the hotel looks great. Our room was quite spacious offering water views. Bed and pillow quality was fabulous. After lot of walking and sightseeing, we enjoyed the nice pool and Jacuzzi. What I missed though that hotel does not really offer good buffet breakfast. On-site restaurant LURE has limited vegetarian choices, maybe it should add few Indian and Middle eastern cuisines. Now the most important part is the front desk service. I was extremely impressed by “Charlene” who was so polite, thoroughly professional and patiently answered all my questions while keeping pleasant smile. I also would like to acknowledge “Max “who took time and took us to the top floor of the hotel to show harbor with all the lights. Indeed, it was a great view.
