Kiara was the most positive and helpful employee! To be honest, everybody there was fantastic when I arrived, walking into the hotel and when I checked out I received greetings and positivity. I would go to Savannah just to see her and the staff again!

I stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is situated within walking distance of everything in the historic and river districts. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had an issue with a slow shower drain. The desk was informed as I left for a few hours and was repaired when I returned. Perfect. The best thing, by far, was the incredible men and women who work there. They were all so nice and welcoming. I will really miss them.

The Courtyard by Marriott Savannah Downtown/Historic District hotel is located at the beginning of W. Liberty St. Very close to the main attractions of the city of Savannah, it is about a 15-minute walk to visit this super interesting destination, with lots of culture, art, music and great cuisine. If you don't want to walk, there is the Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah in front of the hotel, which are trams that will take you to the main attractions. Like all establishments in Savannah, the hotel is in an old building, which has been renovated and is very well maintained, extremely clean. The general manager Mr. Reid Field is always present, competent, you can see that he follows everything that happens at the hotel. I stayed in a suite overlooking the back, the courtyard with the internal garden and the pool, extremely calm and quiet. The room is comfortable, good bed with a spacious bathroom and a excellent wi-fi. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, where an à la carte breakfast is served, with good quality options and friendly and attentive service. There is a fitness center and a outdoor swimming pool. The staff is kind and attentive. It was worth it, I recommend it, with an excellent cost-benefit.

Ok so I read through many of the reviews, good and bad, and I would have to say that I agree with them. This place is perfectly fine if you keep your expectations in check. Do keep in mind that hotel rates in the area are very steep; rooms are limited so I don’t think chains are really motivated to improve much. The good: location is pretty good. I was there for a wedding and all the events were within a 10 minute walk. Forsyth Park is maybe a 15 minute walk. Staff was nice enough. Gym was decent, kept me busy for an hour twice. Air conditioning worked well in room. Beds were comfortable and I was out cold both nights. Street noise doesn’t bother me since I wear hearing aids and take them out at night. The bad: the place is definitely dated. You can tell when you set foot in the elevator and the buttons look like they’re from the 1980’s. There was also a reddish stain on the carpet that could have been blood. I did alert the staff about this so hopefully this is addressed. But cleaning staff should have spotted this. Overall, I was not surprised by anything so I would rate my visit satisfactory.
