Hotel itself was well maintained and drinks in bar were good. The location is not great, would definitely recommend staying somewhere closer to the river. This was our first visit to Savannah and we didn’t realize how everything is really centrally located at Broughton street or closer to River. Hotel does not offer free coffee in the lobby, you can’t use your $10 food credits for the pantry/convenience store, and they were doing construction in the room next to ours on our last day. We were looking forward to sleeping in, but the construction crew put the bolt out on the door so it would stay open and proceeded to walk in and out all morning, leaving the door to loudly crash closed. Overall, I would spring for a more expensive property closer to the active part of downtown if we came again.

Not great, consider another place if service or quality is your objective Gym not clean and equipment, inexpensive and aged. No hand soap and could not deliver hand soap after 60 minutes. Peeling wallpaper. No helpful comments in the room about checkout times breakfast, how to work the TV, how to work the coffee just sort of threadbare. Slightly disrespectful colleagues. no brunch buffet for breakfast I spoke to the manager who made it clear to me she had no desire nor power to improve the situation. I would think someone with the title of manager would actually have discretion but this seems not the case I expect more from a Marriott, especially in excess of $220 a night plus parking of $40 a night

Great location and the people could not have been nicer. Often times, you know how your stay is going to go when you meet the Valet driver. We knew that we were going to have a great time when we met Mell. He seemed to work every hour there was since we saw his smiling face every time we came or went. Great service is appreciated.

The entire staff is always welcoming and works to accommodate guests upon arrival. Mell, the valet gentleman always is courteous and greets you with a smile. The rooms are clean and food/bar area has options for food and drink. We will stay again!

Rooms are very spacious and the location conveniently located to walking most local shops and sites. Hotel personal very kind and welcoming - especially the valet staff - particularly MELL ! (PS - make sure to eat at Mrs Wilkes. Get in line at 10am for a 11am seating )
