This is a storied restaurant, but it is obvious that they are relying upon their reputation rather than providing a great meal and service. Our server was polite, but slow and unorganized. Salads were basic. The gumbo was basically chicken soup. Our main courses were unmemorable. Nothing here was bad, but nothing here had the passion and flavor for which New Orleans' food scene is known.

Oh my goodness! Simply the best brunch ever! Try to sit in the courtyard, if possible. It's peaceful and beautiful. And, there's live jazz music. Bring your appetite. There's lots to choose from.

I had very good memories of this place and wanted to go back for brunch. Although some of the food was okay, I was somewhat disappointed to say the least. You couldn't eat in the dining room, the brunch buffet selection was less than it had been in the past and our table asked for butter 3 times and they never gave us any. I had to order the Eggs Benedict instead of watching them make it fresh, which was always fun, and the waiter brought it to me. The egg and Hollandaise sauce was good but the ham was rotten and completely disgusting. My son described it as "dead." I almost vomited. The place looks like it is in disrepair and dirty. So sad to see what has happened. I will not be back anytime soon.

Amazing food and service by Ernest. He was kind and polite. Service was expedient. Eating in the courtyard is a must for the experience. Traditional New Orleans atmosphere. Nice crowd for a Thursday morning Brunch.
