We went with another couple to celebrate our anniversaries. We made reservations to be seated inside, specifying we were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversaries. When we arrived, we were seated outside and it was rather cold. There were not any patio heaters. When the food was served, it chilled off quickly. The food was good when it was still warm. Service was slow and nothing was said about our celebration. What I don’t understand was when making reservations, why even ask where you want seated and if it was a special occasion. To make other places to choose from that have just as good of food and better.

The courtyard is absolutely lovely and the dessert was really good. Our server was also pleasant. I would go back for those reasons. However....when arriving the hostess barely acknowledged us, looking up from her phone and literally rolled her eye at us when we asked for a table. She send us to a second hostess, who was reading something. He did not acknowledge us for almost 2 minutes, not even a "I will be right with you" and continues reading something while 4 adults stood right at his side, sort of dumbfounded. The greeting experience was terrible and made me feel hesitant to ask for a table. The beautiful courtyard made up for it though. The location and history truly saves this restaurant. The staff needs training desperately.

We went expecting a nice relaxing evening dinner. However the room had no sound deadening features so that the two large and loud parties made it almost unbearable. Food was nicely done and timely however wait staff seemed overwhelmed.
