Comfort Suites Maingate East in Kissimmee, FL

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Recently had my son and daughter booked her for 4 nights. They were accompanied by a 2 year old and my daughter in law who is 8 months pregnant. I am a travel agent and this is the FILTHIEST most disgusting hotel room I have ever seen. The bed frame (headboard) seemed like it had never been dusted. The amount of dirt falling off when I ran my finger was nauseating. The shower and shower head were disgustingly dirtly. The rug seemed like it had never been cleaned. The air unit had so. much dirt on the vents that it was just truly disgusting. I spent one night out of 4 originally booked and checked out. I am still dealing with getting a refund for the remaining nights because they are totally unresponsive. THE FILTHIEST AND WORST HOTEL EVER.

I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, but I can honestly say that this was the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced in my life. My husband, my 2-year-old, and I were booked to stay from March 7-11, but we couldn’t even last one night due to the appalling conditions of the hotel. We checked out the very next morning and found a much better Airbnb instead. This hotel is an absolute nightmare. The room was in horrendous condition—full of dust, an overpowering foul odor, and the air conditioning unit was disgusting, covered in dust and mold. The bathroom was no better, with soap scum, build-up, and rust all over the faucets and showerhead. The sheets and pillows reeked of something that can only be described as vile. It was honestly traumatizing to be in that room, especially with my 2-year-old and me being 8 months pregnant. On top of the disgusting room, the noise level was unbearable. I could hear everything—every footstep from the rooms above us and every conversation in the hallway. I couldn’t sleep at all the one night I stayed because I was so grossed out by the condition of the room, not to mention the constant noise. It felt like there was zero soundproofing, and I was kept awake all night by the chaos going on around me. When we first checked in, we immediately asked to be moved to a different room due to the stench, but the front desk clerk refused, saying the hotel was "booked." That’s when I should have known we were in for a terrible stay. The crowd in the hotel was also very sketchy—at one point, I opened the door to find a man with his pants halfway down and a woman peeking through the peephole of the next room. I did not feel safe at all. To make matters worse, when I attempted to check out the following morning, the front desk clerk refused to assist me and told me I needed to contact Expedia directly to check out. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the situation and provide evidence of the room’s conditions (including photos and videos), the hotel has completely refused to refund us. This hotel has shown zero accountability for the state of their property or the absolutely awful customer service. I strongly advise anyone thinking of staying here—or anywhere in this chain—to think twice. If you value your health, safety, and peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs.

We have stayed here in the past, a pleasant experience leading to this reservation. Never again! I don’t know what has happened in the last year but it has gone seriously downhill. The beds are so hard, you may as well be sleeping on a concrete floor. We knew it was across from FunSpot but between that traffic and parking situation, and the whole traffic along Irlo Bronson, what a nightmare. 30 minutes to go a couple of miles. Checking out early the next morning, we grabbed some waffles to go. Huge mistake. They were raw on the inside, leading to literally spitting them out in the car. On top of all that, the rates were ridiculously high for what we received. I only made the reservation at that price due to the prior positive experience. Same weekend last year, about half the price and such a better experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. It all started on January 2 which was supposed to be my stay. Our flight was delayed multiple times and after contacting the property to let them know, and they even responded, we arrived around 5 AM to find out that they had canceled my room and marked me as a no-show, even though I had let them know that our flight was delayed. They eventually found a room for us took about 30 minutes at 5 o’clock in the morning with them acting like they didn’t have any more rooms despite me letting them know. As other reviews have stated getting off the elevator it smelled bad, the room smelled bad, but I figured we could live with it for just a couple nights to sleep there. One night we decided to order pizza down by the pool. The window was open, but nobody was there. We were also planning to get a couple drinks. We waited for about 15 minutes and still nobody showed up, but we could hear that somebody was in the kitchen, which is right there. My husband knocked on the side door to try to get somebody’s attention and he yelled at my husband. Very rude so we gave up. On the day of checkout, we found a giant cockroach about the size of half my fist that was disgusting And probably hanging out in our room the whole time. Management did come and take care of it after about 30 minutes but still disgusting to know that that thing was probably in there the whole time. The really frustrating part came about TWO WEEKS after my stay. I got a notice from Expedia that they had canceled my stay and I would not be receiving points. After contacting Expedia to prove that I actually did stay there and paid for it they still refuse to give me my points. And also since they canceled me on Expedia, I am not able to leave a review there, which is why I’m now thinking they did that on purpose so that I could not leave this review. I know it’s a budget motel so don’t have high expectations, but I will never stay there again and I would definitely not recommend..

Nice hotel, adequate parking. Check in was seamless and the room was ready when we arrived. The room is definitely showing its age. The sink plumbing fixture was missing parts, and the toilet was not a comfort height unit. TV pixelated constantly, which was a service provider issue or just worn out. Overall experience was comfortable, but just average.
