Comfort Suites Maingate East in Kissimmee, FL

I'm shocked at the amount of positive reviews of this place honestly, especially relative to the price. I started with low expectations and the hotel mostly met those. I'll start with the molasses-like speed of the single elevator that worked. You had to add 10 minutes to your travel time or take the stairs-which I did to/from the 7th floor many times. The room was run down at best, worn carpet clearly gross, and we didn't touch the couch due to questionable residue. The sheets on the bed are sandpaper-like, you can't move without waking everyone. The bathroom was grimy, had no sink stops, and the shower curtain rod is falling from the wall. This lead to the shower curtain tilting towards only the middle section of the rod, covering approximately two feet of the bathtub. This lead to excess water on the floor after each of our family of four showered. The curtain was also nearly completely ripping from the hanger thingies. I always find it interesting when hotels don't have an exhaust fan to prevent the moisture buildup and mold on the ceiling. Breakfast was thought to be a good perk and the mickey waffles are fine-but you can tell they buy the cheapest products available for everything else i.e. sausage, eggs, pastries, etc. I don't expect fine dining but the food was mostly unappetizing outside of waffles that really can't be messed up. I will say the pool was much bigger than I expected, water temperature was good, and our girls had no complaints. Front desk staff were pleasant but any time we had a question, the person at the counter couldn't answer and told us to ask someone else working later in the day or the next morning. They just always seemed overwhelmed and unsure. If our team wasn't staying here in January, we would not have chosen the hotel initially. Ultimately our family checked out early and went to a Marriott location that is in better condition, better maintained, and $50 less a night.

Booked a stay through hotels.com. Credit card charged, confirmation number given. Manager tells us that there’s no record of our reservation and that this has happened with 2 other reservations in just today. She stated they’re fully booked. No remediation offered nor apologies for mismanagement.

I would not recommend this hotel. I booked and paid for a two queen bed suite with a sofa bed for two nights. Upon checking in I was put in a king bed suite which isn’t really a suite at all. I spoke to the manager who informed me they were all sold out of those type of rooms. How could they be sold out if I already prepaid for the room?!? Anyway the manager was not very helpful, she didn’t even try to make it right. I Had to ask her for some drink vouchers from the bar to which she replied she’d talk to the bartender about getting my wife and I one drink. There is one elevator for the whole hotel as the second one is broke so it takes forever! Upon entering the room we noticed a musty smell coming from the hallway and room. The room and hotel is nothing compared to the pictures online! The toilet in our room barely flushes, the pressure is horrible!! The shower looks dirty! I found a hair by the drain in the shower. To say the least I’m extremely disappointed!! Being that I booked this hotel through Priceline I doubt I can get my money or a portion of it back. This hotel is NOT worth 150 per night!!! I’ve stayed at hotels for a hundred dollars per night that are way better then this. I will not be staying at another Comfort Suites again! Here are just to pictures. Our last visit was 2019 before our visit on the 7th October for two weeks, was a little apprehensive when see some recent reviews, but upon arrival all my fears disappeared, I’ll admit not much has changed since 19 yes it is a bit dated but when travelling from the UK all I want is a decent sleep and shower and a clean and tidy room which yet again ticked all the boxes. We literally use this hotel as a base, chuck in a free breakfast, although selection has changed since we last came back but enough choice to start the day. Staff polite as always couple of problems with the room, got in touch with reception and both problems resolved ASAP. It’s a prime location for all the parks 10 minutes to Disney, 20 minutes approx traffic depending from universal studios. Yet again the perfect stay in a hotel ideally located. Not sure what year we’ll be back to Florida but this will be the first hotel we’ll be looking at to book. Thanks again for your great hospitality and hopefully see you again in the near future.

Clean and comfy rooms, reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful, Breakfast ok but same every day so gets abit boring. Great pool and based in centre of everything. Disney only 10 min drive Universal about 20 min drive. Would definitely stay again
