"Beautiful Carlsbad Beach Resort"

We last stayed here 30 years ago and had an excellent stay then and now. The location is perfect for the beach and proximity to San Diego attractions. We enjoyed a sunset view from our balcony. We had two suites in the Elm building which appear to have been updated recently. The furnishings were well stocked and comfortable. There are events daily at the resort and lots of stores and restaurants as it’s next to Carlsbad Village shops. The grounds have great areas all over to sit and relax with comfortable furniture. There are fireplaces and firepits, ping pong & foosball all outdoors as well as the pool and hot tubs. Also, there is an excellent farmers market nearby on Wed nights with over 60 vendors.

Neighbors upstairs had children playing door bell ditch I called front desk. It would start at 6:00 in the morning!!! Nothing was done so I left early. Ridiculously loud stomping all day!!!

My family has been going to Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort for many years. I have never been disappointed with the preparation, cleanliness of rooms, service of staff (many have been there for years), genuine friendly atmosphere, all expected facilities, easy walking access to the best of the town, really great visitors, etc. I’ve stayed in many places where that couldn’t be said. I would repeat everything that you read from the vast majority of reviews. I wanted to write about the staff and service. They are always willing to go into action to solve the rare issue that comes up, from excess noise late at night, to some piece of equipment that fails. I was recently there and thought I had left an item of value to me in the room after we checked out and returned home. I called and told them where (I was sure) it was. The head of housekeeping, Teresa was on top of it and got her staff involved in a thorough search. She called back at least twice to say it had not yet been found but they were continuing to look. We all know how that feels. I began to look again thoroughly inside my car and I found the item. So, the bottom line. Teresa manages a very competent and reliable group of people. Your room is kept up by them, even when you are gone, and they are honest. It humbled me to call Teresa back to apologize for not only the inconvenience I put them all through, but also that awful feeling that maybe something really went missing. She was, of course, professional and glad the issue was resolved. Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is fortunate to have such a quality group of associates who take pride in their efforts.

"Fabulous experience...again!"

My friend and I came here 4 years ago, and decided since it was so great then, let's try it again! We were not disappointed... We were welcomed on Sunday with beautiful music and wine/ hors d'oeuvres outdoors. Monday was a lovely Continental breakfast during an orientation meeting. Our room was spacious and so clean. I misplaced my watch and was looking under everything in the room. I couldn't find my it (or any dust:)) under anything. I reported it, and Activities person, Tanya, found it for me at the pool several days before.....that thrilled me. I told manager, Claudia, about it, and she was just as happy about it as I was. You can tell there's a deep respect for fellow employees. When trying to remember a brewery we wanted to return to, we simply showed Odalys at the front desk our selfie there from 4 years ago, and she figured out it was "Pure" Brewery, so we got to return to that fun place again, thanks to her... great variety of microbrews. So many good restaurants are within a block of this resort, (Jack's, The Harbor Fish Cafe, Norte Mexican), as well as live music at The Coyote. The Coaster commuter train is also a few blocks away, and we used that twice to get to San Diego...45 minute ride to Old Town area...$6.50 round trip for seniors! Pretty views from the train also. So, come enjoy this beautiful resort that is so relaxing and convenient to spend time at.
