"Will not be back!! Terrible experience"

We decided to play mini golf. It was terrible!! The grounds were unkept, some of the courses had been patched together. One of the holes had standing water in the hole. The water features were not working, so there was stagnant water through out the courses with algae present. The fact we had to pay to park was also a bit surprising. We will not be go back!!

Park is very small. We rode every slide in half a day and most of that time was spent standing in lines. The larger slide was only operating at half capacity (meaning 1 slide out of 2). The kids working as life guarde we're useless. Maybe they were under staffed and over worked but whatever the reason, they paid no attention and didn't care what was going on around them. The changing rooms are barely a stall and the restrooms reek of order. Extremely over priced for such a low end venue. Don't waste your time and money here. Save it for the beach.

"Park "stinks" needs cleaned and bring back the cabanas."
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed July 06, 2025
We visited Big Kahuna two years ago and when we told our daughter we were going back to Destin she asked if we could go back to Big Kahuna. We booked a Cabana because I have vitiligo therefore my time in the sun is limited. We also enjoyed having a place to relax in between the rides. We were so disappointed when we were guided to our "cabana" to find the somewhat comfy couches/chairs were replaced with a table and chairs. There was a lounger. The park also looked like it needed a good cleaning. An area of the lazy river smelled like raw sewage. We left after a couple of hours because it was not a good experience. Doubtful we will come back in our future visits unless we see from "reviews" that the waterpark has made improvements. We were very disappointed. We spent a lot of money to be at the park for a couple of hours. Do better!

"Poor food options!"

I had to throw away grapes and an apple at the gate… only to have JUNK food options at the snack bar. We MUST do better by offering people more healthier food options.

"Park was nice, although staff is lame."
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed June 01, 2025
The entire staff seems to be comprised of clueless 14 year olds. There is no help in getting in the gate. Everyone was lined up way too long in the wrong lines at 10 a.m. The snack bar people did not know how to do anything right. More mature and responsible staff is needed...or some decent supervision
