We stayed here for three days to attend a wedding downtown Saint Augustine. We were put up in a room that was right next to the car charging station. We had our dog with us. During the night there were people that were congregating outside charging their car and coughing and smoking cigarettes it felt like an area to socialize and smoke. Our dog barked frequently waking us up and the smoke actually was permeating through the room and every time we opened the door, the smoke was like a big cloud that just hit you in the face. Otherwise the stay was OK but if you’re going to rent a room here do not rent a room next to the car charging station.

Hotel staff extremely rude and completely unhelpful. Pool was disgusting, cloudy and dirty throughout entire stay, 6 nights. Hotel manager insisted it was safe but it is obviously a health hazard. Breakfast mediocre at best, fake eggs and sausage. Waffles were ok. Maid service nearly nonexistent. We left for the beach at 10a, and upon returning 4-5p, room STILL NOT CLEANED OR SERVICED. The bed was so lumpy we had to ask for mattress pads. We will NEVER stay here again and will certainly tell our friends and coworkers also. Oh, and all a really horrible hotel experience.

Spacious, clean room and large, spotless bathroom with good water pressure. Plenty of storage and comfortable bed. Front desk and dining room staff were very nice. Perfect location. My only recommendation is to have a desk lamp with an outlet and USB ports. Maybe other rooms had that, mine did not.

We weren't all that enthused about this BW. The sign on the desk saying the parking will cost $10, despite it saying it's free on the website leaves a sour first impression. The website also says laundry is free (which surprised us, but we have seen it before at a couple other BW's), but there's actually a fee. The person who checked us in was not very warm, so I wasn't eager to ask them to remove the charge, but I did. They agreed to remove the parking charge, but not reimburse for laundry. The bed was comfortable, but there was not enough lighting to read in bed. The floor was also quite dirty (glad it's not carpet). In the bathroom, there was a small towel hook that looked recently installed, probably because so many people have mentioned that in reviews. The bathroom door is a sliding barn-style door, which of course leaves a gap, but the weird thing is that there's no handle to open it from the inside. You have to just reach inside the door frame to grab it with your fingers. Naturally, there are a lot of fingerprints on the door because of this. We only stayed for one night, but wouldn't opt for this hotel if we were staying longer.
