"Not clean!"

We were excited for a night away without kids, but the room’s cleanliness was disappointing. The jetted tub had damaged caulking, the showerhead and tub had visible dirtiness I could wipe off, the showerhead was too low, and the floors were so dirty our feet turned black — we had to put towels down. The toilet seat also had something on it I had to clean. We told the owner at checkout about the bathroom and floor cleanliness, but she didn’t ask for details or offer any remedy. For the price, we expected much better. The only positives were the comfortable bed, clean sheets, and good breakfast.

"Clean, renovated, quite location off but easy access to the Strip but Outdoor-entry w/ Smoking Stations"

Terrific Location off the YELLOW ROUTE near THOUSAND HILLS GOLF COURSE; I agree that this outside entry (outside Corridor) renovated Hotel (Motel ?) is much quieter than the sister properties by Wyndham or competitors on or right off the Branson Strip. The lobby, breakfast & rooms are clean with Modern tile flooring instead of carpet (which may retain other guests’ odors or germs) & the décor + comforters are new, sleek & modern. The one problem with the tile floor in out room was that the desk chair made black tracks on the floor. I took a damp washcloth to clean the floor & chair wheels which made the washcloth have a lot of grey dirt on it. I wore my socks in the room & when I took them off, the bottoms of the white socks were pretty dirty. I washed my feet which were clean, but after walking barefoot for just a bit in the room, my soles became black. I realized the rooms are swept or vacuumed but perhaps not mopped after each checkout. I did take the washcloth & drag it around the beds in a path to the bathroom & doorway; the loth was filthy after that so I just wore my flip flops to the bathroom & back to bed. Maybe my room was just missed because I saw the staff cleaning rooms after guests left each morning. The room we booked was much smaller that the photos but I had been told by Ronnie the Double-Queen Rooms were larger so that’s on me because rooms are typically the same size despite having one or two beds, so I could not imagine that being correct. All I wanted was a clean room on the ground floor with good air conditioning for the 91 degree temps. When we arrived, one could access the room on the second floor from a walkway by the lobby. There was only 1 luggage rack I saw so we had to pull under the Porte Cochere & unload but barring that, we’d have to walk down the exterior though covered flight of stairs. The room below us had half a flight of stairs. It is not the ideal setup with someone ill or post-surgical like us who deals with limited mobility: just a bit more hassle without an elevato Without an elevator, I would lean toward classifying this lodging as a “Motel” rather than a “Hotel”. The pool was clean & warm . One guest worked poolside at the back of the property where it was wooded & quiet. However the second & 3rd floors of the motel had patio furniture like small couches & loveseats with tower-type ashtrays to contain cigarette butts from I assume guests. I had specifically filtered for “SMOKE-FREE ROOMS”. We had all ready spent the night when we found the smoking terraces where smoke hangs under the covered corridors when we saw that our floor was used by smokers. One couple had to change rooms—a MAJOR HASSLE—because the smoke got sucked in to their “Non-Smoking Room”. I will use the filter for “Non-Smoking Facility” & not need to sit near to a smoker at Breakfast. The public & private areas like the lobby, rooms, & Breakfast Dining Room were quite clean plus the tables & counters were wiped down every few minutes by Michelle or Ronny. The Menu included instant oatmeal which necessitated being heated in the microwave, scrambled or omelet style eggs cooked w/ guest choice of bacon, ham, sausage, peppers, tomatoes, onions or cheese. The 4-round Mini waffle iron allows guests to cook 1-4 waffles for themselves & warm syrup. There were Fruit Loops or Cheerios in a dispenser but one family did without milk the 1st day until they saw me get the 2% milk out of the refrigerator below the counter. A sign could’ve helped them. Only margarine containers were offered which is fine if fresh half & half in a refillable container or even in the 1-use spoonful tubs are out for coffee but his was not the case. The BUN coffee dispenser in the lobby was ONLY full or decaf: no Decaf options available & my spouse does not feel bathroom coffee makers are clean enough—could contain mold or contaminants so no Decaf at Breakfast seems sort-sighted. Yes there were herb tea options but I have allergies & spouse doesn’t like hot tea. There were individually-wrapped muffins + a bagel & toast bar. Juices in the dispenser were Apple or Orange Juice. I would have liked one of the juices to be cranberry ; if not in the 2-juice dispenser, a bottle in the refrigerator for self-serve like the milk would have been nice. Fresh fruit was available. Also, there is no yogurt except perhaps on weekends which did us no good for 3 days. At a “Wyndham” I would have expected yogurts with breakfast plus a Smoke-Free Campus (but I have run into that peculiarity in Arizona in an Indoor-Entry Wyndham Hotel with stinky-smoke inside). Perhaps I should take the issue of expectations & amenities up with “Wyndham”. The Thousand Hills Golf Course is across the street & the Aquarium is just a couple of minutes toward the Strip. The location was quiet except for the outdoor entry corridor when the one luggage cart for the whole hotel, I believe (never saw another during our stay) rolls, heavy-laden down the concrete corridor about 3 feet from one’s once sleeping head. If you drink heavy or don’t hear well, this fact is not a problem. The mattress was very thick & even had a memory foam top judging by the feel when 2 adults lie down. I always scope out the mattress corners under the sheet at the head board when we check in to avoid picking up bugs. Every layer, corner of bedding was SPOTLESS. I felt safe sleeping or would have checked out immediately. Our air conditioning kept the room cold even with the heat & humidity of “feels like’ Heat Index of 101 degrees. I loved the modern style, the cleanliness plus the great location & the friendly staff (Owners?), & the comfortable bed that was a welcome respite at busy days’ end. It would have been nice to also have a decaf Keurig in the Lobby next to the Regular Coffee Dispenser. I would stay in the area again but the smoking in the covered, outdoor corridor present too much risk for unwanted smoke. Plus this set up, as renovated & clean as it was is not a good situation for people who have any limited mobility. This nightly rate was about half what a Wyndham on the Strip costs & looking across to the golf course was serene & quiet. This motel will meet the needs of many travelers.

Renovated property looks good. Rooms a little noisy on the weekends but seemed more quiet during the week. Great breakfast with fresh grilled eggs/ omelette and waffles. Close to strip and Walmart. Decent pool (outdoor only). Would certainly stay again.
