About Disney World Marathon

Featuring a 26.2-mile course, Walt Disney World Marathon 2024 is a four-park running event that’s been entertaining spectators and participants for more than 30 years.

Reminisce the years of fun with a 90’s retro ambiance, meet iconic characters, and peek into the runDisney’s history. For this year, the Walt Disney Company released medals with colorful designs to pay tribute to decades of accomplishments and healthy competition.

On-Site Race Policies

• All runners for the Marathon must be 18 years of age or older.
• Participants need to maintain a minimum of 16-minute-per-mile pace in the Marathon.
• Items, including items, costumes, and props will be inspected. For swift entry, please consider not bringing irrelevant things or a bag on race day.

Proof of Time

Runners who believe they will finish the Marathon in 4 hours 30 minutes or less are required to submit proof of time for start placement.

Make sure your proof of time includes all the following data:

• Distance
• City
• State
• Date
• Finish Time (in Hours:Minutes: Seconds)
• Website Link to Results

Note: An inappropriate race distance or incomplete data means that you’ll be placed in the last start group, so always check the details. The Disney World Marathon doesn’t accept trail runs, relays, training, self-timed or Virtual Runs as proof of time as well.

Finish Half Marathon on Saturday and Marathon on Sunday on time to earn three medals, the Half Marathon and Marathon – plus, the infamous Goofy medal! The event spans 39.3 miles.

Disney Castaway Challenge

This ultimate runner’s event combines marathon and vacation. Participate in one Walt Disney Marathon Weekend 5K or longer race, plus the Castaway 5K to earn your medals. A Disney Wish 4-Night Bahamian Cruise reservation is required. Please refer to Disney Cruise Line for availability.
